Paradise Pool is what the waterfall and pool at Linden are usually called, the correct name is simply "Paradise", though, they were also originally known as "Waratah Falls" many years ago.

This is a very easy walk of approx 1.5kms each way, on well formed fire trails and walking tracks, with a bit of a rocky, easy scramble at the end to get down to the pool level. It is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, National Parks seem to have this rated as a 5 - Hard, Alltrails as an easy, for me, it is easy, for you, the stairs may be a challenge. It took me less than 25 minutes to walk down to the pool, and about 30 minutes to return back to my car. Personally, I think it is worth it!

Keep in mind, this is one of the more popular wild swimming holes and waterfalls on the entire Blue Mountains, so in warmer months, it is VERY, VERY popular, it WILL be crowded. So, if you want to miss the crowds, go mid-week, or very early in the morning. Or, in winter, though the water is rather brisk!

There is now a designated parking area just on Railway Parade at Linden with 11 marked spots to park, in busy times, this will fill up fast. Please don't park in the suburban streets of Linden or park across their driveways, I have read occasions where people have done exactly that, parked across peoples driveways, blocking them from coming or going from their own property. Not a cool thing to do at all.

Park as described above, then just to the right of the parking area is the original Coxs Road route across the blue mountains, this road follows along behind the houses, follow this for about 600mtrs and you will come to a large sign that says Dawes Park and directions to the left down to Paradise Pool. Go left onto a rocky area, then down right and left and then the track is easy to follow from there.

Once you cross a bridge, a short distance later you come to a T intersection, go right here, if you go left, you will end up in Woodford! Follow along, the track is uneven from here on with a lot of exposed tree roots, so watch you don't trip or roll an ankle. You are now following the creek that flows over the falls, with that and a small cliff on your right side. The bush is quite closed in along this section. Easy to follow and not to long after, you will hear the falls and come to the top of the falls on your right.

Admire the pool from above (The top of the falls are very slippery), then go left on a track and it will skirt around until you come to the easy, rocky descent to pool level, and finally, following the track through some bush to arrive at the open beach. There is not a lot of shade here in the middle of the day!

The pool is deep, clear and cold. Plenty of opportunities to swim and even get up and stand under the waterfall. Yes, people do jump from the top of the falls, and the ledges to the left of the falls, the water is deep, but, check the water depth and for snags before doing so.

There are no toilets anywhere near here, or garbages, please keep the place pristine, the last couple of times we have been here there were undies and other discarded clothing and towels, if you brought it in with you, take it back out!
