Victoria Falls are located down in the valley at the end of Victoria Falls Road at Mount Victoria and are named after Queen Victoria.

A well defined path takes you from the top of the cliffs down to these falls, however, it is steep, narrow and there can be a few slippery and dodgy bits along the way. There is a carpark at the end of Victoria Falls road to access the start of this walk. Take head of the signs, this is not a short or easy walk, wear sunscrean, take plenty of water, you are going to need it on the walk out.

The descent is around 330mtrs and climbing back out is pretty relentless with very few flat bits, lots of stairs and switchbacks to make you know you are alive, and just when you thought it was all over when you get to the "top" of the cliff, that long section of stairs starts almost up to the lookout.

Yes, you could probably take kids, but, with the narrow track and drop offs in places as well as some interesting steps, I would not suggest it. I would say I am of average fitness, and it took me about 75 minutes to climb out with lots of stops along the way. Think carefully before you decide to tackle a descent into the valley, it is a loooong way back out. Yes, a lot of the above is a duplicate of the Silver Cascades information, but, they are within 100mtrs of each other and the information applies to both places.
