Turtle Falls at Faulconbridge are located at the end of a fire trail off Shirlow Ave, a 4WD will get you a fair way along, or you can walk the lot (An extra km or two of undulating fire trail).

At the start of the real descent, it is about a KM of all downhill, there is very little flat walking on this adventure to these falls. The track is well defined and it is about 50/50 fire trail / rough 4WD and single walking track. It is an easy walk down, but quite a slog uphill so will get the heart working overtime, you could take kids here, but don't blame me if they want to be carried back to the car.

I have known these falls existed for a while, I have been here previously, but never knew they had a name, albeit an unofficial name - Turtle Falls. I met a local when I had finished my walk to Meeks Falls nearby and he told me the locals have always referred to them as Turtle Falls.

They are a pretty set of falls with a good pool at the bottom, but like most pools under waterfalls, they can silt up quickly after rain and not exist until the next flood gouges a pool back out. A relaxing spot to visit.
