Mabel falls are the last of the 3 falls on the Transit of venus walk located at Woodford, they are an easy walk either coming on the lower track past the other 2 falls, or direct down from the fire trails til you cross the walking track and then it is a few hundred metres to the falls. Easy for kids of all ages and there is a nice large sandy-bottomed pool at the base of the falls. Like Hazel Falls, you can walk around behind the falls in a very large overhang here which is nice, cool and green.

Mabel falls were named after the daughter of Alfred and Louisa Fairfax - Angelina Mabel Fairfax. A feature at these falls you may notice is blocks of sandstone scattered about, these did in fact build a wall to dam the creek here to make it more suitable for bathing.
