The Ghost Falls of Glenbrook Gorge...

Moorakoo Falls are a spectacular single drop fall on the southern side of Glenbrook gorge above Glenbrook Creek, they only flow after an extended period of heavy rain and stop running within a few days of the rain stopping. Moorakoo is the aboriginal word for rain and was only officially gazetted in 1982.

They can be a pounding, angry fall during torrential rain, or, like I have initially captured, a more subdued fall as the falls start to disappear and dry up. They can be viewed from a number of locations, with the best and easiest vantage points being at the end of the old tramway track, once you reach the edge of the gorge, you won't be able to miss them as they are slightly to your right and up the gorge. There are not too many varied vantage points, hence the small number of images in the gallery.
