Minnatonka Falls at Bullaburra on the upper Mid-Blue Mountains has the distinct honour (As far as I know) of being the only named waterfall at Bullaburra, and, it does not flow very often, or when it does, it empries back to a trickle pretty quickly.

It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the falls from either Boronia Road or from the end of De Quency Rd and it is a pretty easy walk from either with a little bit of down to get to the falls. At the time of writing this article, the bridge across Minnatonka Creek was unusable due to flood damage and there are barriers up to not take that route. I went down from De Quency Rd, but went for a look at what condition the bridge was in, and yes, won't be using that anytime soon.

As mentioned, this is a very easy walk, in the dry, kids would have no issues with this one, it is pretty wet underfoot the closer you get to the falls, and the last crossing not sure what that black crap is that lines the creek, but it is very sticky to boots.

I picked up a couple of leaches on this walk, but don't let that put you off, just check your boots, legs, trousers regularly for any hitchikers and brush them off, or, do the leach dance, then get someone else to brush them off.

Minnatonka Falls does not seem to get many visitors, there really are not that many references to them on the interwebs, I suspect locals use the tracks here as they were mostly well defined and only over grown in a couple of places.

From here, you could extend your walk down to the Red Gum Picnic Ground that is another 5-10 minutes away, a few more steps along the way is all.
